Kalkan Shopping - Holiday Villa in Turkey

Shopping in Kalkan TurkeyIf you like shopping, you will love Kalkan. As the streets of the old town meander their way to the sea, you can shop for Turkish carpets, pottery, clothing, traditional and contemporary silver jewellery and a myriad of other things. Kalkan has something for everyone from the upmarket traders in the old town to the town market, which takes place every Thursday. Together with the cobbled old streets of Kalkan, and the friendly shopkeepers, it's hard to resist, even if only for a browse.

Some traditional crafts continue today, such as Memik (below left) who engraves beaten copper in the most intricate detail. The ceramics shops will craft bespoke items in Mediterranean colours. There are some lovely clothes shops, such as Butik Belma, who sell fashion items made from natural materials. You can also purchase sea and surf clothing; shops offer well known brands such as A&F, Bench and Billabong.
