Together with the cobbled old streets of Kalkan, and the friendly shopkeepers, it's hard to resist, even if only for a browse.

Some traditional crafts continue today, such as Memik (below left) who engraves beaten copper in the most intricate detail. The ceramics shops will craft bespoke items in Mediterranean colours. There are some lovely clothes shops, such as Butik Belma, who sell fashion items made from natural materials. You can also purchase sea and surf clothing; shops offer well known brands such as A&F, Bench and Billabong.
