Turkey has so much to offer besides the sea, sun, friendly people and fantastic food - all the be found in abundance in Kalkan.
During your stay (or perhaps another trip to Turkey) it is possible to go a bit further and discover another side of Turkey, steeped in history and amongst some of the most extraordinary landscapes you'll ever see. Cappadocia, a UNESCO World Hertitage Site (listed in 1985) is a full day's drive from Kalkan (at 780km), but travelling on some of the best roads in Turkey it is possible to drive yourself (the coast road via Kaş and Antalya is particularly spectacular), or there are organised tours from Kalkan. If you don't fancy doing in one long day of driving, stop off on the way at Konya.
