Kaputaş Beach

Goats at sunset near Kaputas BeachKaputas BeachHoliday villas in Kalkan Turkey offer amazing sea views & it's wonderful to lounge on the sun-bed but you can't beat a day at the beach.  Kaputaş is 7km from Kalkan & is one of the most beautiful beaches around, featuring in many holiday brochures. Wild thyme grows in abundance on the headland, & the views out to sea from here are stunning. If you look overhead you will often spot paragliders, taking in the dramatic views of the coastline. Kaputaş Beach, 400 steps down from the highway, a small, sandy patch that feels like the middle of nowhere. From the beach, it's just a short swim to some nearby phosphorescent caves, excellent for snorkelling or diving.

Kaputaş really is beautiful & unspoilt and getting there from holiday villas in Kalkan Turkey couldn't be easier. Just a short trip away on the Kaş road it takes about 10 minutes by car (you can get a taxi to take you there & come back for you later in the day), or dolmus & shouldn't be missed. Swim in the crystal clear waters & enjoy the soft sands. Early in the season you should take drinks & something to eat, though in the summer months there is a small cafe, selling cold drinks & snacks, you can rent beach umbrellas & sun loungers, & there's changing huts & a toilet.
